Quality Control Assistant- Balbriggan Ripening Centre- Dublin

We are currently seeking a detail\-focused and conscientious Quality Control Assistant to join our Fyffes Quality team.

The successful candidate will help ensure that our products meet company, customer, legal and food safety requirements. This role involves inspecting and monitoring products and processes, accurately recording findings and supporting the continued delivery of high\-quality products to our customers.

Shifts\- 5:00am to 5:00pm, 3 days in 4 days off in one week, and 4 days in 3 days off in the second week. (Average 37\.5h per week) 2 week work pattern

Salary: Starting from €16\.00 p/h

Job Types: Full\-time, Permanent

Work Location: In person\- Fyffes Balbriggan Ripening Centre\- Dublin

Key Responsibilities

Ø Carry out quality inspections on incoming, in\-process and finished products.

Ø Assess products against Fyffes and customer specifications and quality standards.

Ø Check product grading, sizing, ripeness, appearance and overall condition.

Ø Identify defects, non\-conformances and other quality concerns, escalating issues to supervisors or managers where required.

Ø Accurately record and report inspection findings.

Ø Print, inspect and verify product labels.

Ø Complete routine quality control and health and safety checks, including glass audits and hygiene inspections.

Ø Support compliance with food hygiene, cleaning, organic\-product and workplace safety requirements.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

Ø Strong communication skills

Ø Good numerical and basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.

Ø A hands\-on approach and excellent attention to detail.

Ø The ability to maintain accurate records and prepare reports.

Ø The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ø The ability to work effectively under pressure.

Ø A decisive approach and the ability to prioritise workload.

Ø A conscientious and committed attitude towards quality, food safety and workplace safety.

Fluent English is required.
