*Summary*
PROACT Medical Ltd is a fast\-growing medical device company of around 50 staff and an accredited Living Wage Employer.
The Quality Assurance Assistant will be responsible for supporting quality control and assurance efforts within the company on a full\-time 6\-month contract with the potential of a permanent position. This role involves assisting in the monitoring and maintenance of product quality and adherence to established standards.
*Main Responsibilities*
- Drafting and conducting all rework activities with the approval of the QA officer or QA Manager, working with the QA officer to maintain all records of rework activities
- Requesting replacement packaging and components from manufacturers and suppliers
- Ensuring stock is within the correct depots associated with the QA department
- Working alongside the QA officer to maintain quarantine processes
- Stocktaking of quarantine areas
- Working alongside the QA officer to segregate special inspection rejects and prepare rejection stock for return to manufacturers
- Assist in Inspection Room producing works orders and carrying out inspection when required.
- Assist in customer return processes, by raising returns, assessing returns and issuing replacement stock or credits when required.
- The role also requires undertaking some physical work, including moving stock and occasionally assisting with container unloading activities.
- Supporting validation processes when required.
- Provide cover and support to the rest of the Quality Department as necessary.
- Good written, verbal communication and numerical skills.
- Good computer skills – a good working understanding of Word, Excel and Outlook is essential.
- Administrative and organisational skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience working in a Quality Department is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Ability to work on own initiative, to tight deadlines and as part of a team.
- Methodical with keen attention to detail.
- Capacity to take on product knowledge and build relationships with colleagues.
- Willingness to adapt, flexibility and ability respond to the requirements of a busy small business.
