Maths Teacher – Bournemouth

Start Date: September

Contract: Full-Time

Salary: £31,650 – £51,048 per annum (Dependent on experience and qualifications)

The Role

As a Maths Teacher, you will

  • Deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons that engage, challenge, and inspire learners.

  • Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.

  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and wellbeing.

  • Differentiate teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles.

  • Contribute to the wider school community and support extracurricular opportunities where appropriate.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.
What We Are Looking For

The successful candidate will have:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, QTLS, or equivalent).

  • Experience teaching Mathematics within a secondary school setting.

  • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Maths education.

  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.

  • The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to teaching and learning.

  • Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to adapt lessons to meet individual student needs.

  • An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one.
