Qualified Dental Nurse
Job Summary
Halfway House Dental is seeking a motivated, patient focused Dental Nurse and Patient Experience Assistant to join our friendly and professional team. This dual role position combines clinical nursing support with patient care coordination, ensuring an exceptional patient journey from initial consultation through to treatment completion.
The successful candidate will assist clinicians during all procedures, provide outstanding patient support, coordinate treatment plans and help patients understand their treatment options and financial arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
Dental Nursing Duties
· Provide chairside assistance during all procedures general and cosmetic.
· Prepare and maintain treatment rooms in accordance with infection control and health and safety protocols.
· Ensure all instruments, materials and equipment are sterilised and maintained to the highest standards.
· Accurately record clinical notes and update patient records.
· Take scans, photograph’s and assist with laboratory work where appropriate and within scope of practice.
· Monitor stock levels.
· Support clinicians in delivering efficient, high\-quality patient care.
Treatment Co\-ordinator Duties
· Welcome patients and guide them through their treatment journey.
· Conduct treatment consultations and explain proposed treatment plans in a clear and professional manner.
· Discuss treatment options, benefits, risks and associated costs with patients.
· Prepare and present treatment estimates and finance options where applicable.
· Coordinate appointments and treatment schedules to ensure seamless patient care.
· Build strong relationships with patients to improve treatment acceptance and patient satisfaction.
· Act as the primary point of contact for patient enquiries relating to treatment.
· Support practice growth through excellent customer service and patient retention.
Essential Requirements
· Qualified and registered Dental Nurse.
· Current registration with the relevant professional regulatory body.
· Previous experience in dental nursing.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
· Professional, empathetic and patient centred approach.
· Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
· Competent with dental software and computer systems.
Desirable Requirements
· Previous experience as a Treatment Co\-ordinator.
· Radiography qualification
· Knowledge of dental finance options and treatment planning.
· Additional dental nursing qualifications and drive for further qualifications.
