Dental Nurse / Trainee Dental Nurse – Moffat Dental
Pay: Trainee dental nurse from £13\.00 per hour; qualified dental nurse from £14\.00 per hour, depending on experience.
About the Role
Moffat Dental are looking for a motivated and caring person to join our friendly team, providing chair\-side support to our dentists, reception cover, and decontamination of instruments and surgeries.
Requirements
- Qualified dental nurses must be registered with the GDC (registration fees paid by the practice)
- Trainee dental nurses will receive full on\-site training and will be expected to work towards qualification through distance learning
- National 5s in English, Maths and Biology would be an advantage
- All successful candidates must undergo PVG and Occupational Health screening, along with any required vaccinations
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare and maintain the dental surgery for patient treatment
- Ensure the comfort of patients throughout their visit
- Manage infection control processes within the practice
- Sterilise dental instruments and equipment
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Cover reception duties as required
- Good command of English, spoken and written
- Basic IT skills for maintaining digital records
- Strong patient care skills
- Excellent organisational abilities
- Effective communication skills to interact with patients and colleagues
A minimum of 3 full days per week, with the opportunity to increase up to full\-time for the right candidate.
