Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled GDC registered Dental Nurse to join our dynamic team at Lancashire Smiles. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support within our dental practice. As a Qualified Dental Nurse, you will assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and a comfortable experience for our patients. Strong organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively are essential for success in this role.
Duties
- Assist the clinicians during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Provide high\-quality patient care, addressing any concerns or questions patients may have before, during, or after their appointments.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans and medical histories.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols.
- Manage the dental surgery environment, keeping it clean, organised, and well\-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Communicate effectively with patients and team members to foster a positive atmosphere within the practice.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay updated on best practices in dental nursing.
- Qualified Dental Nurse with relevant certification or diploma.
- GDC registration
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in IT systems related to patient management and record keeping is advantageous.
- Previous experience using Dentally software is desirable.
- A compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients’ needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self\-motivated when required.
- Comfortable being involved in practice marketing, including team photos, social media content and promotional campaigns.
