Qualified Dental Nurse

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dental team in delivering high\-quality dental services. This position requires strong communication and organisational skills, as well as a commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for our patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.


• Provide excellent patient care by reassuring patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns they may have.


• Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment scheduling efficiently using IT systems.


• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols.


• Sterilise instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment areas to uphold high standards of hygiene.


• Support the dental team with administrative tasks as needed, including managing stock levels of dental supplies.


• Continuously update knowledge of dental practices and procedures to provide informed support to both patients and colleagues.

• Qualified Dental Nurse with relevant certification or diploma, or experience within a dental practice.


• Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy and understanding.


• Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with patients and team members.


• Excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with patients and colleagues alike.


• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast\-paced environment.


• Basic IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling systems; familiarity with dental software is advantageous.
