Qualified Dental Nurse

We are looking for an experienced, qualified Dental/Orthodontic Nurse to join our experienced and friendly team. Orthodontic nursing experience advantageous but not essential.

The successful candidate will work alongside the specialist Orthodontists and Therapists at Shrewsbury Orthodontic Centre, a specialist orthodontic practice, located in the centre of Shrewsbury. The centre is a well\-established practice having created thousands beautiful smiles in a friendly atmosphere for the patients of Shropshire and mid\-Wales over the last 18 years. We treat both NHS and Private children and adults, ranging from Invisalign, conventional metal and ceramic fixed braces.

We require a Dental Nurse who is proficient in all aspects of Dental Nursing (preferably including radiography). Duties include, but are not limited to, providing chair\-side assistance to the Specialist Orthodontists and Orthodontic Therapists, scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, x\-rays, cleaning \& sterilisation, and communicating effectively with staff and patients.

For the right, well\-motivated candidate, we can offer training in the areas where more experience is needed. This post is part time, 2 days per week (Thursday and Fridays) with a number of other ad hoc days throughout the year, to cover staff annual, covering maternity leave for 10months. This post is part\-time and involves no weekend working.
