Are you an experienced Quality professional looking to take the next step in your career within a fast\-paced food manufacturing environment?
We are seeking a proactive and driven Quality Assurance Manager to lead our Quality team and ensure the highest standards of food safety, product quality and regulatory compliance are maintained across our site in Llantrisant. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will play a key role in driving continuous improvement, supporting audits, enhancing quality systems and developing a high\-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and develop the Quality team to ensure all quality assurance activities are carried out effectively and efficiently.
- Maintain and continuously improve the site's Quality Management System.
- Work closely with Production teams to identify, investigate and resolve quality issues.
- Coach and train team members to support performance, development and compliance.
- Manage customer and regulatory quality issues, ensuring prompt investigation and resolution.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce non\-conforming product and improve site performance.
- Monitor GMP standards and ensure corrective actions are implemented where required.
- Oversee routine factory inspections, including hygiene, foreign body, fabrication, glass and hard plastics.
- Investigate root causes of non\-conformances and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Manage raw material intake processes and supplier quality performance.
- Review and analyse quality KPIs, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Support customer visits, third\-party audits and new product development launches.
- Ensure food safety incidents are escalated and managed appropriately.
- Promote a strong food safety and health \& safety culture across the site.
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- Previous experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Management role within food manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of food safety legislation, quality systems and industry standards.
- Intermediate Food Hygiene qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience leading, coaching and developing teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem\-solving abilities with a results\-focused mindset.
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- The ability to prioritise effectively and perform under pressure.
- Confidence to challenge processes and drive positive change.
- Salary of up to £45,000 per annum.
