As a QA Engineer, you will help drive the delivery of high-quality, reliable software across front-end and back-end systems. Working within a collaborative Agile team, you will design and execute manual test plans, identify defects and risks, and champion quality throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). 
 
You will work closely with engineers, product managers, designers, and operational teams to ensure quality is embedded from requirements through to release. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and delivering an excellent customer experience.

What you’ll do as a QAEngineer

  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Analyse business and technical requirements from multiple stakeholder perspectives, including end-users, partners, operations, and customer support teams.

  • Design, develop, and execute detailed manual test cases, test scenarios, and regression test plans.

  • Support the development and maintenance of automated tests to improve software quality, regression coverage, and release confidence.

  • Identify, document, prioritise, and track defects through to resolution using tools such as Jira.

  • Support bug triage, escalation management, and root cause analysis activities.

  • Assess delivery risk and determine appropriate testing scope, coverage, and priorities.

  • Validate functional and non-functional requirements across front-end and back-end systems.

  • Monitor and report on testing progress, quality metrics, risks, issues, and dependencies to relevant stakeholders.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality product releases.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across QA processes, standards, methodologies, and tooling.

  • Support knowledge sharing and mentor junior QA team members where appropriate.

  • Advocate for best practices in software quality, usability, and customer experience.

  • Operate effectively within a fast-paced, collaborative Agile environment.
What you’ll bring to the team
  • 3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or a related testing role.

  • ISTQB Foundation Certification or equivalent software testing certification is desirable.

  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum or iterative software development environments.

  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and defect management processes.

  • Experience creating and executing manual test plans, test cases, and regression testing activities.

  • Experience developing, executing, and maintaining automated test suites using modern test automation frameworks and tools.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Excel, or similar QA/project management tools.

  • Experience testing web applications, APIs, and back-end services is advantageous.

  • Ability to analyse complex requirements and identify potential risks and edge cases.

  • Exposure to test automation frameworks or AI-assisted testing tools is advantageous.

  • Understanding of modern QA practices including automation, CI/CD, and shift-left testing principles is desirable

  • Strong organisational, prioritisation, and time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
