QA Consultant (STB experience)

Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing on Set\-Top Box (STB) platforms within a telco environment


• Design, execute, and maintain test cases and test scenarios


• Validate firmware releases, ensuring stability and performance


• Work closely with development teams to identify, report, and track defects


• Support testing activities across DMS and backend service integrations


• Validate data flows and system behavior using tools like OpenSearch


• Analyze video playback performance and user experience using NPAW analytics


• Participate in test planning, estimation, and test strategy definition


• Ensure quality across end\-to\-end TV/OTT service flows


• Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to deliver high\-quality solutions


• Support regression testing and release validation cycles

Skills

• 3\+ years of experience in Quality Assurance (manual testing)


• Hands\-on experience with Set\-Top Box (STB) environments


• Experience in telco, OTT, or TV platforms (preferred)


• Experience testing firmware and embedded systems


• Familiarity with DMS (Device Management Systems)


• Experience with OpenSearch or similar tools for log analysis


• Knowledge of NPAW analytics or similar video performance monitoring tools


• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test design, and defect lifecycle


• Experience working in agile environments


• Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills


• Good communication and teamwork skills


• Fluent in English \- written and spoken (mandatory)


• Based in Lisbon (mandatory)
