Accountabilities

The QA Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, maintaining, and improving automated testing frameworks while supporting overall product quality across web and API platforms. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, maintaining, and expanding automated end-to-end test suites using Cypress across the web platform

  • Investigating, reproducing, and debugging test failures to identify root causes and improve platform stability

  • Executing manual regression testing during release cycles to ensure production readiness

  • Contributing to REST API automation testing using frameworks such as Mocha and Chai

  • Collaborating with development and QA teams to progressively improve test coverage and automation strategies

  • Supporting CI/CD pipeline improvements and integration processes using tools such as TeamCity

  • Participating in code reviews, version control workflows, and quality assurance best practices using GitHub

  • Ensuring testing processes align with fast-paced delivery cycles and evolving platform requirements

Requirements
This role requires a technically strong QA automation professional with expertise in JavaScript-based testing frameworks and a proactive, analytical mindset.
  • 2–5 years of experience in QA Automation, SDET, or software testing roles

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript with the ability to write clean and maintainable test code

  • Hands-on experience with Cypress for end-to-end automation testing

  • Familiarity with REST API testing and automation frameworks such as Mocha and Chai

  • Good understanding of GitHub workflows, including branching, pull requests, and code reviews

  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills with a focus on understanding root causes

  • Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment and communicate blockers effectively

  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as TeamCity is considered a plus

  • Exposure to financial platforms, crypto trading systems, or WebSocket API testing is an advantage

  • Familiarity with trading concepts, mobile automation, or BDD/Cucumber practices is beneficial
