QA Automation Engineer [Hybrid - Portugal]

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with solid experience in test automation frameworks, continuous integration, and modern QA practices.
Location: Portugal
Work Model: Hybrid – on\-site frequency and location to be defined

Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and evolve automated test suites covering UI, API, regression, smoke, and integration testing.
- Build scalable test automation frameworks aligned with software engineering best practices.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with Development, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure quality from the early stages of the development lifecycle.
- Identify risks, defects, and opportunities to improve testing processes.
- Document test scenarios, automation strategies, standards, and best practices.
- Contribute to the definition of test strategies and the evolution of QA maturity.
- Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional experience in test automation.
- Strong hands\-on experience with at least one modern automation framework, such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or Robot Framework.
- Experience with API testing using tools or frameworks such as REST Assured, Postman/Newman, SuperTest, or Karate.
- Experience with one or more programming languages such as C\#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Experience with Git and software engineering best practices.
- Ability to structure automated tests with a focus on reliability, maintainability, and scalability.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling is valued.
- Experience with Docker and cloud environments is a plus.
- Availability to work in a hybrid model in Portugal, with on\-site frequency and location to be defined.
