Job Title: QA Analyst (Automation)
Reports to: QA Manager
Location: Dundalk HQ / Hybrid
Role Purpose and Key Responsibilities:
Role Purpose:
In this role, you will design, build, maintain, and execute automated test suites to ensure the reliability and performance of our betting and gaming platforms (web \& mobile). You will work closely with developers, product owners, and other QA engineers to embed automation best\-practices, improve test coverage, and accelerate delivery without compromising quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts (UI, API, integration) using relevant frameworks and tools.
- Create, maintain, and execute detailed test plans and test cases (manual \+ automated) based on business and technical requirements.
- Conduct functional, regression, exploratory, smoke, performance, and UAT testing; contribute automation where appropriate.
- Validate real\-time odds changes, betting workflows, gaming mechanics, payment processing, and other platform functionalities.
- Collaborate closely with cross\-functional teams (developers, product managers, QA) to identify requirements, clarify acceptance criteria, anticipate risks, and ensure testability.
- Identify, log, track, and verify bugs; work with engineering to reproduce, prioritize, and resolve issues.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and work to decrease feedback loops.
- Support production deployment testing and post\-release validation of features.
- Stay up\-to\-date with automation tools, frameworks, infrastructure; propose improvements to tooling, processes, and test practices.
- Mentor other QA team members in automation best practices.
Key Requirements:
Experience:
- 3\-5\+ years in QA with a strong focus on test automation. Some of that time should ideally be in complex, regulated or real\-time platforms (e.g. betting, gaming, finance).
- Proficient in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g. Java, Python, JavaScript, C\# etc.).
- Experience with automation frameworks for UI (e.g. Playwright, Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, Serenity), API (e.g. Postman, REST Assured).
- Knowledge of using (XCUITest for iOS and UiAutomator2 for android) mobile test automation framework.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) and version control (e.g. Git).
- Experience in web debugging proxy tools like Charles, Fiddler, and MITM for logging HTTP/S traffic.
- Experience in Automation Reporting using Extent PDF report, Spark report, Cucumber report.
- Understanding of test design techniques, test data management, mock/stub services.
- Domain Awareness: Experience with regulated environments or betting/gaming is highly beneficial. Knowledge of odds, live data, responsible gaming / compliance helpful.
- Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar).
- Ability to thrive in a fast\-paced, agile environment with shifting priorities and tight release cycles.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with developers, product managers, and fellow QA engineers.
- Exposure to performance or load testing is a plus.
- Experience with containerisation, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Experience in writing automation that is scalable, maintainable, and resilient.
- Familiarity with security testing, performance testing tools, and best practices.
- Experience mentoring less experienced automation or manual QA
