Purchasing Manager - Leeds - £40,000 - £50,000
Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be partnering exclusively with a well-established engineering business in Leeds, which is looking to recruit an experienced Purchasing Manager to join their team.
This role will suit someone who comes from an engineering/technical manufacturing background, who has previously worked with technical drawings, and can lead a small team to drive efficiencies and processes.
Working Hours / Benefits:
- 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday) with a 1pm finish every Friday!

- Overseeing procurement across bought-out components, electrical items, and subcontracted services
- Leading supplier relationships and acting as the primary escalation point for supplier issues
- Identifying and reporting cost-saving opportunities
- Allocating workload across the team and supporting, mentoring, and developing the Buyers
- Developing and implementing standardised purchasing processes and controls
- Acting as the key point of contact between Purchasing and internal functions, including Production, Stores, Design Engineering, and Accounts
- Proven experience in a senior procurement role, ideally within an engineering/technical manufacturing environment
- Previous experience leading a team
- Strong supplier negotiation skills and a track record of delivering cost savings
- The ability to develop and implement purchasing processes and drive compliance
- A clear and proactive communication style, able to engage stakeholders at all levels
