Purchasing Group Lead (human)

As Purchasing Group Lead, you will take ownership of a defined purchasing category, leading your team with a strong focus on performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Your mission

• Lead a purchasing team, both functionally and disciplinarily


• Own operational and strategic procurement within your assigned category


• Develop and implement sustainable sourcing strategies


• Identify, evaluate, and develop national and international suppliers


• Lead price, contract, and commercial negotiations


• Ensure supply availability, quality, and cost optimization


• Work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, and Finance


• Build scalable procurement processes and KPI\-based performance management


• Support make\-or\-buy decisions and manage supply chain risks


• Foster the development and growth of your team

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field


• Several years of experience in strategic procurement, ideally in a technical or industrial environment


• First or solid leadership experience


• Experience with complex supplier structures and international sourcing markets


• Strong negotiation skills combined with analytical and business\-oriented thinking


• Structured, solution\-oriented working style with a hands\-on mindset


• Strong communication skills and ability to align multiple stakeholders


• Fluent in German and English

• Experience in robotics, automotive, electronics, or high\-tech manufacturing environments


• Knowledge of ERP systems and data\-driven procurement controlling


• Experience in building or scaling procurement organizations in growing companies
