As we scale our brand\-new factory in Heysham, we are looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to join our team.

The Mission

In this role, you will provide vital day\-to\-day administrative and operational support; processing purchase orders, liaising with suppliers, monitoring delivery schedules, and resolving invoice queries to keep operations running smoothly and on budget.

Your Key Responsibilities:

· Purchase Order Management: Raise, review, and issue accurate purchase orders (POs) using our procurement system; ensure full authorization compliance.

· Supplier Coordination: Track open orders, expedite deliveries, and communicate updates to production teams.

· Price \& Delivery Negotiation: Request quotations, compare pricing and lead times from approved vendors, and support cost\-saving initiatives.

· Invoice \& Goods Receipt Reconciliation: Match POs, delivery notes, and supplier invoices (three\-way matching); resolve quantity or price discrepancies with accounts payable.

· Vendor Administration: Maintain up\-to\-date vendor profiles, price lists, compliance documentation, and supplier performance records.

· Stock \& Inventory Liaison: Monitor stock levels alongside inventory control teams to anticipate raw material or consumable shortages.

Requirements \& Qualifications

· Experience: 1–2\+ years of administrative experience within purchasing, procurement, logistics, manufacturing, or construction environments (preferred).

· Systems Skills: Proficiency with ERP/MRP software (e.g., Sage, SAP, MS Dynamics, or similar) and strong command of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).

· Attention to Detail: Excellent numeric accuracy and data\-entry skills for managing pricing, quantities, and inventory codes.

· Communication \& Negotiation: Confident verbal and written communication skills to handle supplier negotiations, query resolution, and internal stakeholder updates.

· Problem\-Solving: Proactive approach to supply chain bottlenecks, backorders, and short\-notice expediting.

· Education: High school diploma / GCSEs (including Maths and English); CIPS Level 2/3 (or willingness to work toward it) is a plus.
