Hours: 8\.30am – 5\.30pm Monday to Friday (flexibility with start and finish times)

Reporting to: Procurement Manager

Role Purpose: To effectively support the Procurement Manager with the execution of short, medium and long term purchasing strategies to maximise TAFC competitiveness in line with business requirements. Develop effective internal and external stakeholder relationships and complete all procurement administration.

Key Tasks:

  • Support the Procurement Manager with the preparation for tenders ensuring information is accurately recorded and up to date.

  • Support the Procurement Manager through regular and accurate Contract Balance Management and regular stock cover updates.

  • Administration of Tropos (MRP platform) inputting contracts and keeping data up to date.

  • Ingredient Forecasting for the purpose of tenders and calculating forward demand.

  • Managing new ingredient sample approvals with a view of taking ownership and developing the process.

  • Management of all NPD requests from the chefs and NPD team.

  • With the guidance of the Procurement Manager, initiate and manage tenders.

  • Build and develop the supplier database through collation of information and specifications from suppliers.

  • Manage the sleeve price matrices, cross referencing anomalies and investigating the root causes.

  • Manage the specification process with suppliers including forwarding and retrieving specifications from suppliers and sending to TAFC Technical Team for approval.

  • Supporting the Procurement Manager with managing key raw material forecasts communicating with suppliers.

  • Identify and investigate new suppliers and/or products

  • Procurement administration duties including administration for supplier contracts.

  • Support Procurement Manager to develop and maintain excellent supplier relationships with key strategic / critical suppliers to improve supplier performance.

  • Support the Procurement Manager in constantly seeking ways to source quality, cost\-effective raw materials in line with market requirements to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Liaise with Technical Department over supplier assurance protocols to ensure that all existing and future suppliers adhere to our requirements and regulations, and managing robust SLAs.

  • Reduce stock write offs to agreed minimum yearly level in liaison with Planning Department.

  • Support Procurement Manager in all aspects of procurement as required.
