Job Summary
The Purchasing Assistant supports the supply chain team by assisting with purchasing activities, supplier coordination, order processing, and inventory tracking. This role ensures timely and cost\-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining accurate purchasing records.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in creating and processing purchase orders
Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, and delivery schedules
Track orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
Support supplier evaluation and onboarding processes
Monitor inventory levels and notify management of shortages
Resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders, associated invoices, and shipments
Handling internal purchase requisitions
Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures
Maintaining an approved suppliers list reqularly and as required
Required Skills \& Experience
At least 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or administrative support
Basic understanding of procurement processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong organizational and time\-management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work in a face\-paced environment
Problem solving and analytical skills
