Purchaser (Part Time)

The Role:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced buyer part\-time to join our dynamic team. This position is a varied and interesting with an opportunity to implement improvement in front end and production processes in line with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485 and ISO14001:215 standards. You will be mainly responsible for the procurement of material and to achieve production requirements. Internal training will be provided where necessary.

Responsibilities

· General Purchasing administrative and non\-administrative duties.

· Issuing request for quotation

· Placing purchase orders securing the required lead times, pursuing best cost for direct materials and sub\-contract services in line with the business demand (MRP requirements)

· Expediting / re\-scheduling, agreeing delivery with suppliers, chasing outstanding items

· Ensure On Time Delivery of all items in line with the manufacturing plan.

· Problem solving, minimise immediate impact, find and rectify the root cause.

· Maintaining close relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure production efficiency in line with company’s quality procedures.

· Supporting planning department

Qualifications and experience

• A minimum of 3 years supply chain purchasing (essential).


• Experience with using MRP system (advantageous).


• Proficient in using Microsoft Outlook and Excel (essential).


• Experience in purchasing electronic components (not essential but an advantageous).


• Experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment (advantageous).


• A good standard of general education with GCSE passes in English and Maths or equivalent literacy and numeracy (essential)

Expected hours: 24\.0 – 28\.0 per week

Experience:

• Supply chain purchasing : 3 years (preferred)

• United Kingdom (required)
