Purchase Ledger - 12 Month FTC

If you’re looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk role where you can see the impact of your work on real projects- from luxury hotels to care homes and major developments- this is your chance to get involved at the heart of a business that’s transforming the local area. You’ll join a small, professional finance team that supports everything from new hotel launches to large-scale refurbishments, with the opportunity to progress and genuinely influence how things are run. This is a 12-Month-Fixed term Contract with the chance of going perm.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for:

• Processing and posting supplier invoices with accuracy and speed


• Managing high-volume invoice processing across multiple group companies


• Maintaining up-to-date purchase ledger records and supplier accounts


• Performing supplier statement and bank reconciliations, investigating discrepancies


• Resolving supplier queries and liaising with internal stakeholders


• Supporting a group structure of around 80 companies, including hotels, care homes, and construction projects

What you will need:

• Previous experience in a similar purchase ledger or accounts payable role (such as Purchase Ledger Clerk, Accounts Payable Assistant, or Finance Assistant)


• Experience using Sage 200 (or similar finance systems)


• Confident Excel skills


• Ability to handle high-volume invoice processing and reconciliations


• A methodical, professional approach and the confidence to work independently
