Public Sector Audit Assistant Manager

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high quality audit services to public sector clients, working closely with partners and managers while helping to develop junior team members.

What is the day-to-day of the role:

• Plan, deliver, and finalise public sector audits from start to completion


• Manage a portfolio of public sector clients and act as a key point of contact


• Supervise, coach, and review the work of junior audit staff


• Liaise directly with client management and present audit findings


• Support partners and managers with technical queries and reporting

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or equivalent, with public sector audit experience


• Previous experience working within a UK Practice environment


• Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and public sector audit standards


• Excellent communication and client relationship skills


• Proven ability to manage and develop junior team members
