The Role
You'll help keep Lancaster's parks, streets, beaches and public spaces looking their best.
Duties include:
- Grass cutting and grounds maintenance
- Hedge cutting and landscaping
- Street cleansing and litter management
- Graffiti removal
- Winter gritting and snow clearance
- Supporting community events and public spaces
- Driving council vehicles and operating equipment following training
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Experience in manual, outdoor, construction, maintenance or practical work
- Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Flexible approach to evenings, weekends and standby duties
The basic salary is strong, but the real earning potential comes from the on-call rota. You receive £220 simply for being on standby, plus additional payments if called out, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to boost their earnings whilst building a long-term career.
