A specialist school in Reading is seeking a dedicated Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring educational psychologist, clinical psychologist, therapist, or teacher to develop practical experience within a supportive educational setting.
As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH needs, learning difficulties, and communication challenges. You will play a key role in helping students access learning and develop confidence both inside and outside the classroom.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support as a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant
- Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Assisting teachers in delivering tailored learning activities
- Helping pupils develop positive coping and communication skills
- Monitoring progress and contributing to support plans
- Working alongside teachers, SEN professionals, and therapists
