Propulsion Valves Engineer (m/f/d)
<p><strong>Mission Brief </strong></p>
<p>As part of the Engine Valves team you will design and procure the valves that control our propulsion system. You will take a valve from requirements and calculation through CAD design and manufacturing into acceptance, qualification and integrated engine testing, and you will stay with it across its whole lifecycle.</p>
<p>Your Role in Our Space Mission: </p>
<ul>
<li>Define the requirements and specifications for the valve together with the Propulsion teams involved.</li>
<li>Calculate and design valves against those requirements, and run the design reviews.</li>
<li>Prepare and organise the manufacturing of your valves and resolve manufacturing issues.</li>
<li>Oversee and optimise the assembly of your valves.</li>
<li>Plan, supervise and evaluate valve tests, including development acceptance, qualification and integrated testing.</li>
<li>Take part in and supervise integrated system tests and analyse the data.</li>
<li>Ensure component and system performance and reliability across the valve lifecycle, through development tests, design reviews and post test data analysis.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualification Checklist </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>MSc or M.Eng. in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering or a similar field, or equivalent professional experience.</li>
<li>Hands-on exposure to valves in any technical setting, professional, research or student project, for example design, calculation, testing, or operation.</li>
<li>Hands on experience with test preparation, operation, and post test data review.</li>
<li>Experience with machining processes and technical drawings.</li>
<li>Proficiency in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks or Siemens NX.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of Python or a comparable programming language.</li>
<li>A systematic, solution oriented approach to engineering problems.</li>
<li>General understanding of rocket design, and a genuine interest in propulsion.</li>
<li>Able to work effectively across multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams.</li>
<li>Willing to travel to support launch and test operations.</li>
<li>Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.</li>
<li>Motivated and eager to learn.</li>
<li>Fluent in English.</li>
</ul>
<p>Bonus Skills</p>
<ul>
<li>Several years of experience designing, developing or testing valves.</li>
<li>Hands on testing with fluid systems, including cryogenic fluids and oxygen compatibility.</li>
<li>Knowledge of technical drawing standards and materials science.</li>
