This is a strategic role at the centre of how BT Business defines its future position in the financial services sector. As a Proposition Manager, you will act as the voice of our financial services customers , shaping propositions that directly influence product direction, customer outcomes and commercial success. You will help define where we should play, which problems we prioritise, and how we translate market demand into scalable, commercially viable propositions .
BT Business is at an inflection point — shifting from product\-led to genuinely customer\-led. This role sits at the heart of that transformation. You will identify patterns in customer demand, regulatory pressure and industry change, and translating them into clear propositions that shape roadmap investment and go\-to\-market strategy . This role requires strong strategic thinking, commercial instinct and comfort operating in ambiguity .
You’ll challenge assumptions, bring clarity to complex problems, and influence direction across the business. And you’ll join a team focused on innovation, strategic impact and challenging the status quo — redefining how BT solutions supports the finance and banking sector.
What you’ll be doing

- Identify repeatable, scalable opportunities across the financial services market (e.g. banking, insurance, fintech)
- Translate customer challenges, regulatory drivers and market trends into clear, compelling propositions

+ commercial model and pricing approach
- Influence product roadmaps and investment priorities , proactively shaping direction rather than reacting to existing plans
- Work cross\-functionally with Product, Commercial, Sales and Marketing to bring propositions to life
- Develop clear, compelling proposition messaging and storytelling for internal and external audiences
- Lead the go‑to‑market execution of propositions, ensuring strong adoption across sales channels
- This is an individual contributor role , but one with significant exposure, influence and accountability. We’re looking for someone who combines strong proposition fundamentals with the confidence and energy to challenge, innovate and influence.

- Experience shaping propositions, solutions or strategic initiatives within financial services (e.g. banking, insurance, fintech)
- Understanding of financial sector dynamics , including regulatory pressures, risk, and customer expectations
- Able to translate customer and market insight into scalable, repeatable propositions
- Ability to simplify complex or technical capabilities into clear, compelling customer value
\- Comfortable operating in ambiguity , with the ability to define problems and create structure
- A genuinely customer\-led mindset , starting from real problems rather than product
