The Eaton Electrical Division is currently seeking a Project Sales Engineer to join the C\&I Project Sales organization. This is a commercially accountable and strategically driven role (Level 2\), responsible for leading the capture and protection of Eaton\-specified tenders throughout the execution phase, ensuring full alignment between project delivery and Eaton’s specification strategy.

Acting as the primary commercial interface with installers and general contractors, you will manage the full Eaton product portfolio across Central Italy, with a strong focus on the Emilia\-Romagna and Marche regions, as well as selected adjacent areas for key strategic stakeholders.

What you’ll do:

As project sales Engineer, you will drive project success from early opportunity identification through execution, combining commercial ownership with strong stakeholder engagement.

  • Identify and develop opportunities by qualifying leads, prospecting new business, and strategically planning your territory and key accounts

  • Build and manage relationships with priority executing entities, including installers, contractors, and the agents network, becoming a trusted commercial partner

  • Lead opportunity discovery by understanding project requirements, specifications, and technical details to inform go/no\-go decisions

  • Coordinate internally by engaging key stakeholders such as Quotation Factory, Specification Engineering, and Engineering Back Office to ensure aligned and competitive responses

  • Track and manage pre\-specified projects, leveraging insights from Application Engineering to protect and strengthen Eaton’s position

  • Own the commercial process for tenders, including pricing strategy and quotation management for specified opportunities

  • Influence and secure specifications with contractors and end users, while also identifying opportunities to expand Eaton’s offering across additional product lines

  • Ensure effective execution by guiding RFQs toward preferred panel builders and steering sales to the most relevant Eaton channels (EWS and direct customers)

  • Design and present competitive, compliant solutions that deliver both technical excellence and commercial value

  • Develop a strong professional network through continuous engagement, industry events, and proactive relationship\-building

  • Manage your sales pipeline end\-to\-end, including opportunity tracking, forecasting, and business reviews

  • Maintain operational excellence through accurate administration and a focus on continuous improvement

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma with relevant job\-related training or equivalent hands\-on experience, or a post\-secondary degree or diploma.

  • Strong knowledge of project environments within Commercial \& Institutional (C\&I) buildings, electrical installations, or similar sectors, along with an established network and connections with key installers and contractors in the assigned area.

  • Digital \& Technical Proficiency: familiarity with tools such as CRM/PRM systems, CPQ/quoting tools, AutoCAD (basic level), Microsoft Office Suite, collaboration platforms (Teams, SharePoint), and digital channels including LinkedIn and Sales Navigator

Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package based on applicable skills, knowledge and experience, and aligned with internal and external market practices. The annual salary range (including base salary and Sales Incentive Plan) for this role is EUR 55\.200 – EUR 80\.960 gross per year.
