The Role
This is a 6\-month fixed\-term position based in Lisbon with frequent travels to Pombal, Leiria, supporting a key project within Sonnedix’s renewable asset portfolio.
The Project Manager, reporting to the VP, Engineering \& Construction, leads the revamping and reconstruction of a solar plant in Pombal, ensuring the successful upgrade, optimisation, and extension of asset performance while contributing to the company’s long\-term clean energy strategy.
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the end\-to\-end delivery of the plant revamping project, including engineering redesign, permitting, procurement, construction, and commissioning of upgrades. They work closely with EPC contractors, technical advisors, grid operators, and internal stakeholders, managing contracts, coordinating site activities, and ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with technical and regulatory standards, while minimising operational disruption to existing assets.
Desired skills
- Strong background in solar PV or infrastructure projects, including refurbishment, optimisation, or brownfield developments
- Solid understanding of EPC contracting, construction processes, and plant upgrade methodologies
- Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder environments, including contractors and regulatory bodies
- Excellent analytical and problem\-solving skills, with a focus on performance improvement and risk mitigation
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects in dynamic, evolving environments
- AI \& Digital Literacy: Drives AI and digital tool adoption by sharing knowledge and identifying integration opportunities within the team
