Titan Steel Works is a Portugal\-based manufacturer of engineered steel water\-storage tanks and containment systems. From our facility in Mafra, we provide integrated engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and installation support for made\-to\-order storage solutions used in fire protection, commercial, industrial, residential, and other specialized applications.
Our projects combine structural engineering, precision steel fabrication, controlled manufacturing processes, international logistics, and on\-site construction. We design and manufacture our systems in accordance with applicable European and international standards, including EN, Eurocode, ISO, and NFPA requirements where relevant.
We are looking for a highly organized and customer\-focused Project Manager to coordinate projects from initial order handover through engineering, manufacturing, delivery, installation, and final closeout.

About the Role
The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful coordination and administration of multiple steel water\-storage tank projects. The position serves as the primary connection between customers and Titan Steel Works’ engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, logistics, accounting, and installation teams.
The successful candidate must be proactive, detail\-oriented, commercially aware, and capable of managing multiple deadlines and stakeholders in a fast\-paced international environment.
The afternoon/evening schedule supports communication with North American customers, contractors, suppliers, and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned projects from customer onboarding and order handover through final completion and closeout.
- Review customer purchase orders, contracts, proposals, technical specifications, drawings, schedules, and project requirements.
- Confirm the contractual scope of supply, installation responsibilities, delivery requirements, documentation obligations, and key project milestones.
- Conduct project kickoff meetings with customers and internal departments.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain clear, professional, and proactive communication regarding schedules, approvals, deliveries, site readiness, open issues, and project risks.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Miro or other company\-approved project\-management systems.
- Coordinate engineering submittals, drawing packages, revisions, technical questions, RFIs, and customer approvals.
- Track drawing\-review deadlines and follow up with customers, engineers, and contractors to prevent approval\-related delays.
- Coordinate project requirements with engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, quality control, accounting, logistics, and field\-installation teams.
- Confirm that approved drawings, material requirements, and project specifications are communicated accurately to all responsible departments.
- Monitor purchasing and manufacturing progress against the required delivery and installation schedule.
- Coordinate with logistics personnel to establish shipping dates, delivery sequences, transportation requirements, and site\-delivery plans.
- Collect and verify site information, including access conditions, unloading requirements, foundation readiness, equipment availability, working\-hour restrictions, and customer responsibilities.
- Coordinate delivery and installation schedules with customers, general contractors, subcontractors, and field crews.
- Confirm site readiness before mobilizing installation personnel or shipping materials.
- Track project budgets, committed costs, billing milestones, approved changes, and potential cost overruns.
- Coordinate with accounting to ensure project deposits, progress invoices, retainers, and final payments are issued according to contractual milestones.
- Identify work outside the original contractual scope and coordinate the preparation, approval, and documentation of change orders.
- Ensure additional work is properly authorized before materials are ordered or work is performed.
- Maintain project documentation, correspondence, schedules, approvals, meeting notes, action lists, delivery records, and revision histories.
- Track project risks, delays, unresolved issues, and assigned action items through completion.
- Lead internal and customer project\-status meetings when required.
- Prepare regular project\-status reports for management and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate the resolution of material shortages, drawing discrepancies, delivery problems, site conflicts, installation issues, and customer concerns.
- Support quality\-control activities and coordinate the resolution of non\-conforming materials or workmanship issues.
- Manage project punch lists and ensure outstanding items are documented, assigned, and completed.
- Obtain customer completion confirmations and required acceptance documentation.
- Coordinate project closeout packages, including approved drawings, material documentation, completion forms, warranties, and other required records.
- Ensure warranty commencement dates and final project information are documented accurately.
- Maintain a professional customer experience while protecting the company’s contractual, operational, and commercial interests.
- Support additional project\-management and operational responsibilities based on company needs.
- Two to five years of relevant experience in project management, project coordination, construction, engineering, manufacturing, industrial operations, or a related field.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, deadlines, and competing priorities.
- Strong customer\-service and professional communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, documentation, and follow\-up abilities.
- Strong problem\-solving skills and the ability to respond calmly to urgent project issues.
- High attention to detail when reviewing contracts, drawings, specifications, schedules, costs, and project documentation.
- Ability to understand project scope, responsibilities, deadlines, and commercial requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and construction documents.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and online collaboration tools.
- Experience using project\-management, scheduling, CRM, ERP, or document\-control software.
- Ability to lead meetings, assign action items, and hold responsible parties accountable for deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, engineers, vendors, production personnel, logistics providers, contractors, and installation crews.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining close coordination with internal departments.
- Availability to work on\-site at our Mafra office according to the fixed Monday–Friday, 14:00–23:00 schedule.
The following experience is advantageous but not required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience managing steel\-fabrication, water\-storage tank, industrial\-equipment, or construction projects.
- Experience coordinating engineering approvals, manufacturing schedules, material procurement, freight, and field installation.
- Familiarity with structural drawings, fabrication drawings, construction specifications, and technical submittals.
- Experience with Miro, Zoho, Microsoft Project, or comparable project\-management systems.
- Familiarity with purchase orders, contracts, change orders, progress billing, and project\-cost tracking.
- Knowledge of EN, Eurocode, ISO, NFPA, AWWA, or other relevant engineering and construction standards.
- Experience working with international customers or North American construction projects.
- Project\-management certification or formal project\-management training.
- Portuguese or Spanish language skills.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to manufacturing facilities or project sites when required.
- A central role in the delivery of international engineering and construction projects.
- Practical involvement across engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and field installation.
- Exposure to international customers, suppliers, contractors, and technical standards.
