Project Manager

Are you an experienced Project Manager with an engineering or
technical background?

Do you have experience managing installation projects from
initial planning through to completion, keeping a close eye on
budgets, timescales, resources and customer expectations?

We're working with a growing engineering business in Havant who
are looking for a Project Manager to join their team, managing a
variety of installation projects across the UK.

Paying £40,000–£50,000 depending on experience, this is a great
opportunity to join an ambitious business where you'll have
genuine ownership of your projects and the opportunity to make an

What's the role all about?

You'll take responsibility for engineering installation projects
from start to finish – making sure they're properly planned,
resourced and delivered on time, within budget and to the right
quality standards.

You'll be the link between the customer and the internal Design
and Installation teams, making sure everyone has the information,
resources and timescales they need to keep projects moving.

You'll also manage suppliers and subcontractors, monitor costs,
oversee Health & Safety and make sure the customer receives a
great service throughout the project.

It's a varied role, so you'll need to be comfortable managing
multiple projects at the same time and adapting when priorities
change.

What will you be doing?

• Managing engineering installation projects from initial

planning through to completion

• Creating and maintaining detailed project plans, schedules and

deliverables

• Managing multiple projects simultaneously


• Monitoring project budgets and ensuring costs remain controlled


• Planning labour, travel, equipment and materials efficiently


• Coordinating internal engineering, design and installation

resources

• Managing suppliers and subcontractors


• Building strong relationships with customers and acting as a

key point of contact

• Identifying project risks early and putting appropriate actions

in place

• Ensuring technical information is available when required


• Working with Design and Installation teams to interpret

drawings and specifications

• Coordinating project documentation including As-Built Drawings

and O&M Manuals

• Supporting the preparation of RAMS


• Managing Health, Safety and Environmental requirements across

your projects

• Ensuring work is delivered in line with contract

specifications, agreed timescales and quality requirements

• Driving projects through to successful handover and closure

What do you need?

We're looking for someone with:

• Previous experience in Project Management


• An engineering, technical or supervisory background


• Experience managing engineering, construction or installation

projects

• Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project

budgets

• Experience coordinating internal teams, suppliers and

subcontractors

• Excellent customer and stakeholder management skills


• Strong planning and organisational skills


• Confidence managing several projects and priorities at once


• An industry-recognised Project Management qualification


• Full UK driving licence


• Flexibility to travel to customer and project sites when

required
Experience within critical power, generators, electrical
installations, M&E, engineering services or a similar technical
environment would be particularly relevant.
