Project Manager – Passive Fire Protection
We are recruiting for a Project Manager to deliver passive fire protection works across residential and social housing properties. You will manage projects from mobilisation through to completion, overseeing fire doors, fire stopping and associated remedial works.
This role suits someone with experience managing site teams and subcontractors who can keep works on programme, control costs and maintain the documentation required for fire safety compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Manage fire door installation and maintenance, fire stopping, cavity barriers and associated remedial works.
- Plan programmes, resources and site access across multiple live projects.
- Manage operatives, supervisors and subcontractors, monitoring progress, quality and health and safety.
- Maintain clear communication with clients and residents, resolving access issues and complaints promptly.
- Monitor budgets, prepare monthly cost reports and identify variations or additional works.
- Ensure installations are inspected, photographed and documented in line with applicable certification requirements.
- Manage risks, defects and snagging through to handover.
- Complete close\-out records, including O\&M information and as\-built documentation.
- Proven experience delivering passive fire protection, fire door or fire stopping works, ideally in social housing or residential properties.
- Experience managing multiple projects, site teams, subcontractors, programmes and budgets.
- Working knowledge of relevant fire safety requirements, including Approved Document B, BS 8214 and the Building Safety Act 2022\.
- Familiarity with third\-party certification schemes such as BM TRADA Q\-Mark or Certifire.
- Strong communication skills when dealing with clients, residents and site teams.
- NVQ Level 6, SMSTS, Health and Safety Awareness for Managers, Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling and Working at Height training.
- IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH Construction Certificate would be beneficial.

Pay: £45,000\.00\-£50,000\.00 per year
