Project Manager £37,000 - £43,000 | Cheshire region with flexible home working

Office attendance: Ideally weekly, although more remote working (potentially monthly office attendance) can be considered for the right person.

We're looking for an Technical lead/ Project Manager to join a growing professional services technology business supporting clients across the Financial Services and Legal sectors. The role is very flexible with large amount of home working with some office work as required (some days during each month). Therefore candidates commutable to Cheshire would be required (North Wales/ North West etc).

This is a great opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer or IT Support professional who has moved into project management and is looking to take the next step.

The role will focus on internal infrastructure, hardware and server projects, including projects such as VMware to Azure migrations, server infrastructure and wider technology upgrades.

What you'll be doing: • Managing internal infrastructure and hardware projects from start to finish

• Coordinating VMware, Azure, server and infrastructure projects


• Working closely with Infrastructure Engineers and technical teams


• Creating project plans, timelines and milestones


• Managing risks, issues and project dependencies


• Coordinating internal teams and third-party suppliers


• Providing project updates to stakeholders


• Managing multiple projects through to successful completion

What we're looking for: The most important thing is strong technical infrastructure knowledge.

You could be an experienced Infrastructure/System Engineer who has recently moved into project management, or a Junior Technical Project Manager with a solid hands-on IT background.

Ideally you'll have:

• A background in IT infrastructure, servers, hardware or systems


• Around 1-2 years' project management/project coordination experience


• Good understanding of infrastructure environments


• Experience working on IT infrastructure projects


• VMware and/or Azure experience would be beneficial


• Strong communication and organisational skills

You don't need to be a highly experienced Project Manager. We're particularly interested in someone who understands the technical side of infrastructure and is now looking to build their career in project management.
