Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced High Voltage Project Manager to support the successful delivery of major transmission and infrastructure projects within the 132kV–400kV industry.
The role will involve managing projects through the full lifecycle including design coordination, procurement, construction, installation, testing, commissioning and handover. Projects will typically be delivered within highly regulated and safety\-critical environments for major utility, transmission and infrastructure clients.
The successful candidate will have strong NEC contract experience and be capable of managing both technical and commercial aspects of complex HV projects while maintaining programme, quality and safety objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of HV transmission projects from pre\-construction through to completion and handover.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams including design, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning personnel.
- Oversee HV cable installation activities including:
- Cable pulling operations
- Shaft and tunnel installations
- Joint bay works
- Cable support systems and cleating
- Temporary works coordination
- Installation methodologies and sequencing
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers and specialist installation teams.
- Ensure works are delivered in accordance with client specifications, programme requirements and applicable standards.
- Administer NEC contracts including:
- Early Warning Notices (EWNs)
- Compensation Events (CEs)
- Programme reviews
- Risk reduction meetings
- Change management
- Monitor project performance against programme, cost, quality and safety objectives.
- Coordinate with clients, Principal Contractors, National Grid/DNO representatives and stakeholders.
- Review and manage project documentation including:
- RAMS
- Inspection \& Test Plans (ITPs)
- Quality documentation
- Technical submittals
- Construction packs
- Commissioning documentation
- Support procurement activities and material/equipment management.
- Ensure compliance with CDM requirements and company management systems.
- Attend site periodically to review progress, resolve technical issues and support delivery teams.
- Contribute to commercial reporting, forecasting and project controls
Pay: £55,000\.00\-£80,000\.00 per year
