We are seeking an organised, commercially minded, and proactive Projects Lead to join our Projects \& Contracts team. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of project delivery from initial survey through to completion, helping ensure our clients receive outstanding service while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and quality.
The Role
As Projects Lead, you will be responsible for the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of project\-based works across our fire safety and electrical divisions.
You will oversee the entire project lifecycle, managing resources, documentation, client communications, project profitability, and operational delivery. Working closely with our Technical Engineering Manager, Projects Technical Lead, engineers, subcontractors, and project administration team, you will act as the central point of coordination between technical, commercial, operational, and client\-facing teams.
This role is ideally suited to someone who thrives in a fast\-paced environment, enjoys managing multiple projects simultaneously, and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management \& Delivery
- Manage projects from survey and quotation stage through to mobilisation, delivery, and completion.
- Coordinate engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and technical resources.
- Monitor project performance to ensure works are delivered safely, profitably, on time, and within budget.
- Manage project P\&L performance and provide weekly progress updates to senior management.
- Produce and maintain project documentation including:
- RAMS
- Construction Phase Plans (CPP)
- O\&M Manuals
- BAFE Documentation
- Project completion packs
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and British Standards.
- Maintain accurate project records, trackers, and reporting systems.
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with clients.
- Attend client meetings and manage follow\-up actions.
- Provide regular progress reports, dashboards, and status updates.
- Manage client portals and reporting requirements.
- Prepare quotations for installation and remedial works.
- Monitor and follow up outstanding quotations and project opportunities.
- Coordinate FRA action programmes for clients.
- Support surveys, pricing activities, scheduling, and resource planning.
- Maintain FRA trackers and documentation bundles.
- Coordinate engineers and subcontractors undertaking remediation works.
- Oversee project administration activities and documentation control.
- Ensure reporting and client communications are completed accurately and on time.
- Support process improvements and corrective actions where required.
- Work collaboratively with engineering, commercial, and operational teams.
- Assist with performance management and development of project administration staff.
- Support and mentor team members.
- Drive improvements in systems, processes, and customer service delivery.
- Continue developing technical and professional knowledge within the fire safety and compliance sector.
Essential
✔ Experience managing projects within a technical, engineering, compliance, or construction environment
✔ Strong project coordination and organisational skills
✔ Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously
✔ Excellent communication and relationship\-building skills
✔ Strong administration and documentation management abilities
✔ High attention to detail and commitment to quality
✔ Strong Microsoft Office and IT skills
✔ Ability to work independently and collaboratively
✔ NVQ Level 2 \& 3 in Business Administration (or equivalent)
✔ PRINCE2, APM, or equivalent project management qualification
✔ Experience within fire safety, compliance, electrical engineering, or a related sector
✔ Understanding of relevant British Standards and compliance requirements
Desirable
✔ Zeus qualification or equivalent fire safety qualification
✔ Experience working within life safety, fire protection, or compliance services
✔ Knowledge of BAFE\-accredited environments
