Project Engineer

We are a rapidly growing, multi\-discipline engineering design consultancy based in Middlewich, Cheshire, delivering engineering and project solutions across a range of industries, including:
- Terminals \& Tank Storage
- Oil and Gas
- Petrochemicals
- Chemicals \& Fine Chemicals
- Pharmaceuticals
- Food \& beverages
- Renewables \& Waste\-to\-Energy

Client\-facing role – Work closely with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
Hybrid mix of office and site work – Primarily based from our Middlewich office, with occasional travel to client sites across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage engineering projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and external stakeholders.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
- Lead client meetings, technical reviews, and progress reporting.
- Support business development activities and identify opportunities with existing and new clients.
- Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, regulations, and company procedures.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.
- Proven experience in a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer role (min. 5 years ideally but will consider more Junior applicants).
- Experience delivering projects within process industries, energy, chemicals, terminals or related sectors.
- Strong project engineering/management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Commercial awareness and a proactive, solutions\-focused approach.
- Chartered status or working towards chartership would be advantageous but is not essential.
