Project Engineer - Civil

Hill International is looking for a Civil Project Engineer to support the delivery of major infrastructure projects in Valencia, Spain.

We are seeking a proactive engineer with strong technical judgement, good coordination skills and the ability to work effectively with clients, designers, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.

Experience in port, maritime, logistics or transport infrastructure would be highly valued, although candidates with backgrounds in industrial, aviation, rail, energy or other large\-scale civil infrastructure projects will also be considered.

• Support the technical coordination and delivery of civil engineering works.


• Review design documentation, contractor submissions, method statements, technical queries and proposed changes.


• Monitor construction progress, quality, technical compliance and interface issues.


• Coordinate with designers, contractors, consultants, authorities and client representatives.


• Support the identification and resolution of technical, programme and construction risks.


• Contribute to project reporting, progress meetings and technical reviews.


• Assist the Project Director and wider project team in ensuring successful delivery against agreed objectives.


• Degree or master’s degree in Civil Engineering, preferably Ingeniero de Caminos, Canales y Puertos , or equivalent.


• Minimum 7 years’ relevant experience in project delivery.


• Experience in civil infrastructure, transport, maritime, industrial or other complex construction projects.


• Strong technical, coordination and communication skills.


• Ability to work in a client\-facing multidisciplinary environment.


• Professional fluency in Spanish and English.


• Location: Valencia, Spain .
