About Us:
Primary Eyecare Services is the largest not\-for\-profit leading provider of NHS primary and community eye care services in England. Established over a decade ago in the North West, we now operate nationally, delivering enhanced eye care through a network of over 3,000 optometry practices. We work with NHS commissioners and Trusts to provide accessible, high\-quality eye care services in local communities, supported by teams with expertise in NHS contracting, patient support, referral triaging, and telemedicine.
Role Overview:
Primary Eyecare Services (PES) is a leading NHS provider organization delivering innovative, high\-quality community eyecare services across England. We are looking for an experienced and proactive Project Coordinator to support the successful delivery of our digital programme. This programme will shape how services are delivered through 2026 and 2027 and is central to our wider transformation agenda.
The role involves working with internal colleagues, suppliers, NHS partners, and our IT partners to ensure delivery is well coordinated, risk is managed, and milestones are achieved. It is ideal for someone who is organised, delivery\-focused, and confident operating in a fast\-paced environment.
Shift Pattern:
This is a full\-time position, working 35 hours per week over 5 days (9am to 5pm with a 1\-hour lunch break).
Salary:
The FTE salary for this role is up to £30,000 per annum.
Location:
This role will be based in the office during the probationary period. Upon successful completion of probation, the role will transition to a hybrid working arrangement, with 40% of your time in the office and 60% working from home.
General Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of digital health projects from initiation through to completion.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation plans.
- Track project progress and ensure timely completion of milestones.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate meetings, communicate updates, and coordinate feedback among cross\-functional teams (clinical, IT, Operations, etc.).
- Ensure all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project scope, reports, and change requests.
- Provide regular project status updates, risk assessments, and mitigation plans to senior management.
- Support the development and delivery of training materials to staff and end\-users.
- Collect feedback from users and stakeholders to improve digital health solutions.
- Monitor project performance and contribute to post\-project evaluation processes for future improvements.
*Essential*
- Minimum 5 GCSE’s or equivalent.
- Experience in a coordination, support, or administrative role within a project, operational, or digital environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Excel, etc.
- Ability to work across multiple priorities and communicate clearly with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Act in ways that support equality and promote diversity
- Experience supporting projects in NHS, health or social care, or not\-for\-profit sectors.
- Understanding of change management principles or frameworks (e.g. ADKAR, Kotter, or NHS Digital Change Toolkit).
- Familiarity with project delivery frameworks (Agile, PRINCE2, APM).
- Demonstrable experience supporting change in a workplace, particularly related to technology or system rollouts.
- Interest in digital transformation and improving user experience.
