Project Coordinator – Design & Manufacturing
About Hoad \& More
For more than 25 years, Hoad \& More has designed and manufactured bespoke switches, sockets and control interfaces for some of the world’s most exceptional hotels and interiors.
Our work brings together design, technology and manufacturing, with projects for brands including Waldorf Astoria, Mandarin Oriental and St. Regis.
We are growing and looking for someone with the right mindset to become an important part of the team.
The Role
You will help take projects from initial enquiry through design, development, manufacture and delivery.
That could mean discussing a finish with an interior designer, reviewing a technical drawing, coordinating samples and approvals, resolving a component or material issue with a supplier, or making sure a decision made today does not create a production delay several weeks later.
You will work across clients, designers, engineers, suppliers and our own manufacturing team, with responsibility for keeping projects clear, organised and moving forward.
The Mindset We’re Looking For
For us, mindset is more important than having the perfect CV.
We want someone who is curious, independently minded and keen to learn. Someone who asks questions, thinks beyond the immediate task and takes responsibility for finding a solution.
You might notice that the finish on a sample is not quite right, question a dimension before a drawing reaches production, or recognise that a late approval could affect a manufacturing programme.
We do not expect you to know everything. We do expect you to want to understand how things work and to be willing to work things out.
You should also be open to using AI and new technology where it can help you research, analyse, communicate or solve problems more effectively — while applying your own judgement to the result.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Coordinating projects from enquiry through to delivery
- Managing client communication, actions and project information
- Coordinating drawings, specifications, samples, finishes and approvals
- Working closely with manufacturing teams and specialist suppliers
- Monitoring programmes and identifying potential problems early
- Helping improve the systems and processes we use as the business grows
You may be a graduate or already have some experience in design, engineering, manufacturing, interiors, construction or project management.
More important is that you are interested in how things are designed and made, comfortable dealing with different people and able to combine attention to detail with an understanding of the bigger picture.
This is a role where you will see the full journey from an idea on a drawing to a finished product being installed in an international hotel project.
As your capability grows, so will the responsibility we are able to give you.
How to Apply
Send us your CV together with a short note explaining why the role interests you.
Rather than a formal covering letter, tell us about something you taught yourself, a problem you solved, or a time when you took responsibility without being asked.
