Your responsibilities

As Automation Project Coordinator, you create the control that allows technical teams to deliver. You work in a stable pairing with a Project Engineer from discovery to acceptance. The engineer owns the technical evidence and on\-site solution. You own the project baseline, the communication, the decisions, the changes and the documented path to handover.

You will normally coordinate several AGV and AMR projects at the same time. That makes this a role for someone who can keep customers, engineers, the factory in China, dealers and internal functions aligned without losing detail or momentum.

What you will own

  • Set up and manage projects with clear scope, milestones, responsibilities, dependencies, risks and acceptance criteria.

  • Coordinate the end\-to\-end project delivery from site survey and feasibility through order preparation, implementation, testing, acceptance and handover.

  • Maintain transparent project documentation and status, including plans, decisions, actions, risks, changes and approvals.

  • Lead customer communication and cross\-functional coordination with Engineering, Sales, factory teams, Logistics, After Sales, partners and other stakeholders.

  • Manage scope changes, risks and project readiness, ensuring impacts are understood, approvals are secured and issues are escalated early.

  • Coordinate testing, acceptance and handover to After Sales, and drive structured recovery plans when projects deviate from scope, timing or readiness.
How you work with the Project Engineer
  • You and the Project Engineer stay paired from the first customer discovery through acceptance. You manage the system of work; the engineer owns technical truth.

  • You do not approve technical feasibility without engineering evidence, and the engineer does not make unapproved commitments on scope, timing or commercial changes. Both roles use four\-eyes reviews for important assumptions, documents and handovers.

  • Our planning model is approximately one coordinator for three engineers. Engineers may spend several weeks at one customer site; you keep multiple projects controlled and give them a reliable route for decisions and escalation.

Your profile

  • Experience coordinating or managing customer projects in industrial automation, intralogistics, robotics, material handling, systems integration or a comparable technical environment.

  • Strong project management and organisational skills, including planning, risk and change management, documentation and follow\-up.

  • Sufficient technical understanding to identify gaps, ask the right questions and coordinate effectively with engineers and technical specialists.

  • Clear and confident customer communication, professional English and a structured, ownership\-driven working style. German or other European languages are an advantage.

  • A relevant degree, vocational qualification or equivalent practical experience, combined with willingness to travel across Europe for key project phases.

Why us?

EP gives project teams direct access to the people who make decisions: European leadership, the factory in China, technical specialists, dealers and customers. You will work in an international team at our Cologne\-Mülheim headquarters and across live customer operations in Europe.

The delivery organisation is growing. You can help build the practical project standards that the team will use as we progress from more repeatable X\-Pace implementations to increasingly complex Intelligent Product solutions.
