Come join us.</p></div><p>Program commercial P&C Underwriter is responsible for the profitable growth of the Commercial P&C Programs portfolio. They are focused on developing successful broker relationships and writing and renewing profitable Commercial business. They will maintain the underwriting integrity of the Commercial P&C Programs portfolio.They will work closely with the Program Analysts to ensure program growth and profitability. </p>
<p><strong>What will you do?</strong></p>

<li>Underwrite risks presented to Gore Mutual (New Business, Renewal, Endorsement, Cancellations)</li>

<li>The P&C Underwriter - Programs will be responsibility for managing broker relationships. They will be responsible for providing great service and fostering relationships which can enable trading of commercial business to improve the commercial programs portfolio.</li>

<li>The P&C Underwriter– Programs is responsible for providing operational instruction to Associate underwriters or support personnel. They will provide guidance which is within their own authority and encourage critical thinking and promote a solution-oriented approach. </li>

<li>The P&C Underwriter- Programs is responsible for their time management and desk management as well as meeting service level agreements with guidance and coaching provided by their </li>

<li>The P & C Underwriter – Programs is responsible for the bordereau ingestion/entry of their Programs and MGA’s with DUA (Designated Underwriting Authority). </li>
</ul>

<p><strong>What will you need to succeed?</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>A minimum of 3 years of commercial underwriting experience</li>
<li>University degree, college diploma or equivalent experience</li>
<li>Enrollment in or completion of the CIP and/or FCIP</li>
<li>Ability to be comfortable with change while also promoting change to continuously improve the team’s operational effectiveness and efficiency</li>
<li>Proven experience providing genuine customer service to broker partners by presenting commercial insurance solutions specific to the needs of the client</li>
<li>Proficient underwriting skills, sound judgement, decision making, negotiation and analytical ability</li>
<li>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills</li>
<li>Ability to work well under pressure with minimum supervision</li>
<li>Proficient skill with computer applications including a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><u>Location:</u></strong> We’re a hybrid team that thrives on the energy and value of in-office collaboration. This role offers the best of both worlds, with 2 days a week spent in one of our vibrant offices in Cambridge, Toronto or Voncouver.</p>

<p>The expected base salary range for this position is $52,500.00 - $86,500.00. Depending on your relevant experience, skills, qualifications, market conditions and business needs, base compensation may vary. You have the potential to earn more through Gore Mutual’s discretionary bonus program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.</p>
<p>Please note: This range reflects the expected base salary for this role but may not represent the full compensation range for all experience and skill levels. During the recruitment process, we will discuss and consider how your unique qualifications align with the broader range for this position.</p>
