Programme Director - Operational Transformation Programme

Location: Hybrid (London + UK site visits)

We're partnering exclusively with a leading UK infrastructure organisation to appoint a Programme Director to lead a high-profile operational transformation programme.

This is a business-critical role, responsible for delivering a complex, multi-workstream programme that will modernise key operational capabilities while ensuring uninterrupted service delivery. Working across technology, facilities, operations and business change, you'll coordinate multiple projects, manage senior stakeholders and drive successful delivery from mobilisation through to implementation.

This is an opportunity to lead a programme where operational resilience, governance and stakeholder engagement are fundamental to success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of a large-scale operational transformation programme.

  • Manage multiple workstreams across technology, operations, facilities and business change.

  • Develop and maintain programme plans, governance and reporting.

  • Manage programme risks, dependencies and critical milestones.

  • Engage senior stakeholders across operational and executive teams.

  • Ensure operational readiness and smooth transition into new ways of working.

  • Coordinate third-party suppliers and delivery partners.

  • Drive programme governance, financial management and executive reporting.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver business-critical outcomes with minimal operational disruption.

About You:

We're looking for someone who has delivered large, complex transformation programmes within operational or critical infrastructure environments. Previous experience delivering complex transformation programmes within a critical infrastructure environment, such as utilities, energy, distribution, transport, telecommunications, aviation or other 24/7 operational environments.

You'll ideally have experience in one or more of the following:

  • Operational transformation

  • Infrastructure or technology migration programmes

  • Command, control or operations centre environments

  • Operational readiness programmes

  • Mission-critical service delivery

  • Enterprise transformation
