Boston Scientific is seeking a highly motivated Production Supervisor (Evenings) on a permanent basis to join our Cork team.
Job Purpose:
As a Production Supervisor, you will play a vital role in leading a team of production operators within a collaborative and supportive environment. Your leadership will be key to ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of high\-quality products, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise and support production personnel to meet daily targets in quality, output, and efficiency.
- Production Planning: Assist in developing and maintaining production schedules, incorporating staffing, training, and capacity planning.
- Cross\-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Warehousing, Quality Assurance, Packaging, and Engineering teams to ensure timely product flow and shipment.
- GMP, 5S \& Housekeeping: Promote and maintain high standards of Good Manufacturing Practices and workplace cleanliness.
- Process Oversight: Monitor material flows, space utilization, and equipment performance to ensure optimal production efficiency.
- Administrative Duties: Manage time and attendance, holiday planning, and contribute to build plan and progress tracking.
- Health, Safety \& Environment: Work with EHS to identify and reduce environmental impacts and ensure a safe working environment.
- 3\-5 years experience people\-management in a dynamic production environment
- Hons Bachelor Degree (level 8\) in a relevant discipline such as Engineering/Science/Production Mgt./Business Mgmt./Supervisory.
- Excellent planning \& organising skills are essential for this role.
- Metrics and continuous improvement experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to motivate and engage with teams.
- Experience of managing a team.
