Production Operative Location: Westhoughton, Bolton (BL5 3XU)
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

Join a Leading Snack Food Manufacturer Are you looking for a stable production role with the opportunity for long-term work? We are currently recruiting Production Operatives to join a well-established and successful snack food manufacturer based in Westhoughton, Bolton.

This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and hardworking individuals with previous food production experience to work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Production Operative Duties As a Production Operative, your responsibilities will include:

• Working on busy food production lines


• Feeding products and materials into machinery


• Packing finished products


• Carrying out quality control checks


• Boxing and palletising products ready for dispatch


• Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards


• Following health and safety procedures at all times

Please note that this role involves some manual handling, including lifting products weighing up to 20kg.

Shift Patterns Available We have a variety of shift patterns available:

• Monday to Friday: 06:00 - 14:00


• Monday to Friday: 14:00 - 22:00


• Monday to Friday: 12:00 - 20:00


• Monday to Thursday: 22:00 - 06:00 (Night Shift)

Overtime may be available depending on business requirements.

Important: Due to limited public transport availability, candidates must be able to travel to site for a 06:00 start and return home after a 22:00 finish.

What We're Looking For • Previous experience within a food manufacturing or food production environment

• Experience of packing, production line work, or warehouse operations


• Good communication skills


• Ability to work as part of a team


• Reliable and committed work ethic


• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

PPE Requirements Candidates must provide:

• Safety boots


• High-visibility vest

A site induction and risk assessment will be completed on your first day.

Food Manufacturing Requirements As this is a food production environment, the following rules must be followed:

• No nuts or sesame products brought onto site


• No heavy makeup or strong perfume/aftershave


• No jewellery


• No false nails
