Production Operative

This is an exciting opportunity to join our fast\-paced Branding Team as a Production Operative. You will play a key role in applying logos, heat transfers, and branded finishes to our products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and presentation before reaching our customers.

THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for someone who will take pride in their role and work to the high\-quality standard that we set here at SBD. While technical skills and attention to detail are important, we place equal value on personality \- energy, motivation, and a strong team spirit.
Branding roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
● Employs good housekeeping techniques and keep workspaces clean and in\-line with the consistently high SBD standards
● Heat Press Operator sets up and operates machines to transfer custom designs (like vinyl, screen prints, or sublimation ink) onto apparel, promotional items, and textiles. Responsibilities include programming exact heat 150° C to 200° C, pressure, and time, aligning transfers, and inspecting finished garments
● Diligently complete all assigned production tasks, ensuring every product meets our high\-quality standards and adheres strictly to all safety processes.
● Contribute to our quality assurance framework by supporting internal audits and working to eliminate any potential for defects.
● Take ultimate responsibility for customer satisfaction by ensuring all outgoing products are flawless, meet the required standards, and have full traceability.
● Conduct daily product assessments from each production run, clearly communicating results and required actions to managers and team members.
● Play a vital role in protecting business integrity by minimising waste and preventing losses associated with product recalls.
● Demonstrate flexibility and a collaborative spirit by providing support across all areas of the business as needed to maintain exceptional service levels.
● Consistently meet daily targets, departmental KPIs, and critical deadlines within a fast\-paced production environment.

SALARY: £26,520 per year
HOURS: 40 hours per week (Monday \- Thursday 7am \- 4pm, Friday 7am \- 1pm)
LOCATION: Unit 2b Lanchester Way, Advanced Manufacturing Park, Waverley, S60 5FX
