The Wall Shop designs and manufactures bespoke modular wall systems and smart walls for residential and commercial applications across the UK. As demand continues to grow, we are seeking a hands\-on Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations, oversee production staff, and ensure every product is built to the highest standards of quality and performance.

Salary: £45,000 \- £55,000 per annum, depending on experience
About the Role
Reporting directly to senior management, the Production Manager will take responsibility for the day\-to\-day running of the factory, ensuring efficient production, high\-quality standards, and timely delivery of customer orders. This is a practical role requiring someone who is equally comfortable managing people, improving processes, and supporting production activities on the factory floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day\-to\-day operation of the production facility
- Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet customer demand
- Lead, supervise and develop production staff
- Ensure products are manufactured to specification and quality standards
- Oversee assembly of modular wall and smart wall systems
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate material requirements
- Implement and maintain health and safety procedures
- Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes and efficiency
- Work closely with design, engineering and installation teams
- Troubleshoot production and technical issues as they arise
- Ensure production targets and delivery deadlines are achieved
- Previous experience as a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Production Supervisor, Factory Manager, or Team Leader
- Experience within a manufacturing, assembly, engineering, or production environment
- Mechanical and electrical training, qualifications, or demonstrable practical experience
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent organisational and problem\-solving abilities
- Hands\-on approach with a willingness to support production activities when required
- Good understanding of quality control and health \& safety requirements
- Experience in bespoke manufacturing or made\-to\-order products
- Experience with electrical assembly, smart technology products, or integrated systems
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies
- Inventory management and production planning systems
