Production Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Production Manager to oversee manufacturing operations within our rapidly expanding organisation. The successful candidate will work closely with the business owner/senior management and be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high quality standards, and managing a team of shop floor staff to achieve daily/weekly production targets. The Production Manager will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and supporting organisational growth. The ideal candidate will have management experience in a fast paced \& dynamic manufacturing sector.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily production activities to meet production targets and deadlines.


• Implement process improvements and continuous improvement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.


• Monitor and maintain quality control standards throughout the manufacturing process.


• Supervise and support manufacturing/assembly teams, providing guidance on mechanical processes and technical procedures.


• Analyse production data to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and develop corrective action plans.


• Collaborate with cross\-functional teams including engineering, quality assurance, and procurement to streamline operations.


• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all manufacturing activities.


• Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous professional development within the production department.

• Previous experience with managing teams and creating a good workforce culture.


• Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with demonstrated leadership skills.


• Mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand assembly processes and technical drawings.


• Familiarity with quality control standards and practices within manufacturing settings.


• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.


• Strong analytical skills with the capacity to interpret data for decision\-making purposes.


• Effective communication skills to liaise across departments and lead teams successfully.
