Production Manager – Double Glazing Manufacturing

Salary: £35,000 \- £40,000, dependent on experience
About the Role
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and driven Production Manager to lead our busy double glazing and glass manufacturing operation.
This is a key management position within a fast\-paced production environment, responsible for overseeing the manufacture of sealed units and processed glass products while ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, safety, and customer service.
The successful candidate will be a strong leader with excellent organisational skills, capable of managing production teams, meeting demanding schedules, and driving continuous improvement across the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day\-to\-day operations of the glass and double glazing production facility.
- Lead, motivate, and develop production teams to achieve productivity and quality targets.
- Ensure production schedules are met efficiently while maintaining exceptional product standards.
- Monitor workflow and production performance to maximise output and minimise waste.
- Oversee all stages of sealed unit and glass processing production.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Work closely with planning, purchasing, maintenance, quality control, and logistics teams.
- Investigate and resolve production issues to minimise downtime and delays.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
- Manage staffing levels, training requirements, and employee performance.
- Produce regular reports on production KPIs, efficiency, quality, and output.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, or Operations Manager role.
- Previous experience within the glass, double glazing, IGU (Insulated Glass Unit), or related manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent planning, organisational, and problem\-solving abilities.
- Experience managing production targets within a fast\-paced manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding of quality control systems and manufacturing best practices.
- Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet production deadlines.
