Own your Growth at Nufarm
As a Production Engineer, you will be a highly visible presence on the shop floor, acting as the link between Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and Supply Chain. This is a development‑focused role, ideally suited to a graduate or early‑career engineer, offering broad operational exposure and a clear pathway toward future Operations leadership.
You’ll own key elements of production performance, maintenance coordination and planning, working hands‑on with teams to improve reliability, efficiency and safety.
How You’ll Help Us Grow
Own and report OEE, including loss and downtime analysis
Lead and support downtime reduction initiatives and RCA activities
Drive Continuous Improvement projects using Lean / Six Sigma principles
Identify capacity, cost and efficiency improvement opportunities
Coordinate weekly engineering and maintenance scheduling
Support maintenance prioritisation and work‑order backlog management
Plan and execute plant shutdowns and outages
Coordinate contractors and support permit‑to‑work processes
Support production scheduling and plan alignment
Coordinate raw material planning with Supply Chain
Analyse variance and plan attainment to support stable operations
Provide hands‑on shop‑floor troubleshooting support
Review and improve SOPs and operating practices
Participate in MOC, RCA and quality investigations
Act as a technical escalation point for production teams
Demonstrate visible SHE leadership on the shop floor
Support audits, compliance activities and process control
Promote safe systems of work and quality standards
Could This Be You?
We’re looking for a proactive, technically curious individual with:
A degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering or a related discipline
Strong interest in manufacturing operations and plant performance
The confidence to work cross‑functionally with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering
Solid analytical skills and a structured problem‑solving mindset
The ambition to grow into a future Operations or Manufacturing leadership role
