Production Engineer
Grade 5 Full Time \| Day Shift \| 37\.5 Hours per Week
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Production Engineer to join our Production team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to support manufacturing operations through process improvement, project management, product quality enhancement, and the introduction of new technologies and equipment. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving efficiency, improving manufacturing processes, and supporting production teams in achieving quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop and implement process improvements to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Support production teams in resolving engineering and quality\-related issues.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Manage engineering projects from concept through to implementation.
- Produce and maintain engineering documentation, procedures and drawings.
- Support the introduction, installation and validation of new equipment and tooling.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance and Purchasing teams.
- Analyse manufacturing data and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
Essential
- Previous experience in a Product Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer or similar engineering role.
- HNC qualification in an Engineering discipline, or equivalent engineering experience.
- Experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem\-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience interpreting and producing engineering documentation and technical drawings.
- Aerospace manufacturing experience.
- Continuous improvement experience, including Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Project Management qualification or experience.
- Experience using CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of tooling design and asset management.
- Results\-focused with strong attention to detail.
- Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Self\-motivated and proactive.
- Quality\-driven with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Able to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
