We're looking for a motivated Production Assistant to join our site in Elsham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with FLT experience who enjoys working in a fast\-paced manufacturing environment and wants to build a long\-term career.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Production Assistant, you'll support the Operator/ Operators with the day\-to\-day running of the production line, including:
- Assisting with the safe and efficient operation of the machine/s
- Loading and unloading reels
- Wrapping, weighing and preparing finished reels
- Safely operating Counterbalance and VNA forklift trucks
- Using lifting equipment safely within the production area
- Assisting with daily cleaning and medical\-grade cleaning of machinery
- Completing end\-of\-order cleaning and housekeeping activities
- Segregating and disposing of production waste
- Changing adhesive IBCs
- Emptying production waste bins
- Operating the baling machine safely
- Operating the core cutting machine safely
- Completing cleaning schedules and production documentation
- Using the SAP system to locate materials, issue stock to machines and return unused materials to stock (full training will be provided if you don't have SAP experience).
Essential
- Current Counterbalance FLT Licence
- Current VNA FLT Licence
- A strong commitment to Health \& Safety
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A positive, reliable and proactive attitude
- Good attention to detail
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Ability to work in a fast\-paced manufacturing environment
- Experience using SAP or another ERP/Warehouse Management System (training will be provided).
- Permanent, full\-time position
- Average 42 hours per week
- 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (2 days followed by 2 nights)
- Overtime paid at 1\.5x your hourly rate
- Bank Holidays paid at 2x your hourly rate
- Quarterly performance bonus of up to 5%
